20 meeting hours a week is 1000 hours a year.

A fair rule

Keep a meeting only if it names a decision, a draft, or a risk that moves this week. Status can be a paragraph. If the series cannot say which of the three it is, the year-cost above is the cost of politeness.

Cutting 20 hours to half is 500 hours back. That is the cleanest raise available without a new job.
